Dr. Rohit R. Arora is an accredited Cardiologist, Professor, Clinical Research Specialist, Author and Consultant. Dr. Arora has achieved many milestones throughout his career with his relentless commitment to advance science & innovate new medical technology within cardiovascular medicine. Dr. Arora has been the principal investigator & co-investigator for a variety of clinical research studies that have pioneered new diagnostic tools, therapeutic modalities and effective treatment solutions that are used everyday in modern medicine.
Dr. Arora is currently Professor of Medicine and Professor of Physiology and Biophysics, Chicago Medical School, Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Arora also serves as the Chairman of Cardiology and Vice-Chairman in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Arora simultaneously serves as the Chairman of Medicine & Chief of Cardiology at the North Chicago VA Medical Center. Prior to his career in Chicago, Dr. Arora served as the Chief of Cardiology at UMDNJ, the Director of Interventional Cardiology & Catheterization Laboratory, New Jersey, Director of Critical Cardiology, and the Director of Cardiac Care Units at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center at Columbia University in New York.
Dr Arora’s conducted his residency training at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York. Shortly thereafter, his fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Dr. Arora performed his Nuclear cardiology fellowship also at Mount Sinai and his interventional fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Arora is well known for his lectureship in thrombosis and vascular disease at Montefiore Medical Centre/Albert Einstein School of Medicine, NY.
The research interest of Dr. Arora include thrombosis, refractory angina, EECP, lipids, vascular biology of the endothelium, interventional, and preventive cardiology. He has authored or coauthored more than 400 papers and abstracts, and is the recipient of numerous awards & honors. His most recent achievement is co-authoring the revolutionary masterpiece titled ‘Clinical Autonomic Dysfunction‘.
